Have You Ever Worked For

GREATEST CONTENTMENT

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Colossians 3:23Holy Bible, New Living Translation Version

Have you ever worked for the nit pickers before?

Nit picker are those that no matter how good your work is they can always find something wrong with it. They take all the steam out of your desire to excel at what you are doing. This is a real tragedy when the nit pickers are parents.

It takes a lot of work and therapy to get over their poison they inject into their childrens impressionable minds.

Teachers can have the same short term affect.

When I do work I like to step back and ask my Heavenly Father if He is pleased with what has been done.

Most times He is and there is a warm feeling of satisfaction flowing through me.

When He isn’t there is no scolding. He just redirects my effort and then I step back and marvel at what we have accomplished and gratefully thank Him. There has been numerous times when He guides me to do something that I have no desire to do but do it with great gusto to please Him, which gives immeasurable pleasure to me.

Most times when the project is completed I see what He was doing and the finished project looks fantastic even though it looked stupid and was laughed at by others or looked ugly but was beautiful when completed.

Sometimes we will not see the purpose of His task until we enter our Heavenly home. That is okay though because we take satisfaction in knowing what we did pleased our Heavenly King in the here and now.

Work for Jehovah, not man. It is appreciated so much more. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Helech ‘Olam (The Lord our King Forever) for the esteem of being Your humble, obedient, loyal servant. It is the greatest delight that can be offered to me. I exalt You in the name of the King of Kings Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with the gift of love, the gift of peace, the gift of joy. May you be blessed with numerous opportunities to share these gifts with others today.

They are going to Have a Feast.

The eye that mocks a father And scorns a mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young vultures will devour it. Proverbs 30:17 Holy Bible Amplified Version

From what I have seen being a live in care giver for my mom and a volunteer at a seniors home I would say they are going to have a feast.

So many of all ages gleefully throw their elderly or handicapped parents into a hell hole called a seniors home. I know most are very good at the level of care they provide but the living environment leaves much to be desired. I have seen many only come to visit when they want money and then treat their mother scornfully (to scorn means open dislike and disrespect or derision often mixed with indignation. To treat them with derision means the use of ridicule to show contempt and contempt means a strong dislike. I have seen many children and grandchildren treat their mothers like they had the plague. And, indignation means to be angry. The children and grandchildren are angry because their mother is still alive because they want her money in their inheritance. To mock means to to treat with contempt or ridicule. I have seen many make fun of their fathers infirmity in their elder years.

I have seen children blackmail their parents “If you want me to come and help you, you have to pay me.” If you want me to bring the grandchildren over you have to give me money.” This is all disgusting in the eyes of the Lord and they shall pay severely.

Now granted many parents were abusive to their children but we are to forgive them, that does not mean we are not to hold them accountable. If they refuse to repent, which means admit what they did, admit it was wrong, apologize and stop doing it, then we are to have nothing to do with them. If reconciliation is not important to them then it should not be important to us.

However to abuse them when they are in need is just as wrong in Jehovahs eyes.

That does not mean ravens will actually pluck out their eyes but that they will pay for their abhorrent behavior.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Abba (God our Father) just as you lovingly care for me instill in my heart a desire and will to be respectful, loving and caring to my parent so as to bring glory to You. I humbly request this in the name of Your most loving, respectful son Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Known by His Deeds.

Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right. Proverbs 20:11 Holy  Bible Amplified Version

When I was a teacher sometimes the children would misbehave. When I went to punish them they pleaded not to be punished and promised not to be naughty again. I agreed not to punish them if they would behave. Not even five minutes later they would be little monsters again. When I reminded them of their promise they laughed in my face and refused to acknowledge their promise. That is when the hammer came down and they received worse punishment. That quickly put a permanent end to that unacceptable behavior.

They knew what they were doing was wrong.

Without discipline there is chaos. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

I see it so often today when children are delinquent and the liberal judges let them off. This is wrong. Let the punishment fit the crime otherwise they just get worse.

You can bet with the teenagers when they are terrible you can trace it back to their childhood and lack of discipline in the family and in the schools. Then when they become adults they foolishly believe they can do what ever they want and there is no retribution for their behavior.

Most times they are disrespectful on their own initiatives.

Do not tell me it is not their fault it is societies fault, I did not make them do it. Do not tell me it is because they are poor, some of the most respectful folks I have ever met were dirt poor, do not tell me it is the families fault, I have met many respectful families whose children are little monsters and a heavy burden on the parents.

It does not matter how good or bad parents raise their children it is the childrens choices in their lives and the decisions they make will come back to either bless them or curse them. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Hashopet (The Lord is the supreme Judge) bless me to wisely teach the youth of today wisdom, integrity and righteous morals so as to avoid Your terrible judgement. I sincerely request this in the name of the Supreme Judge Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Lead to Devastating Consequences.

If it is unacceptable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Every decision we make is important.

Most addictions start with a wrong move. “Oh, I can do it just once and there will be no harm.” In my elder years I can see the results of this faulty thinking.

When young “sex, drugs and rock and roll” was the mantra. Those that are still alive today are suffering the consequences of this horrible thinking. Their mental, physical and spiritual health is shot. Not only that but if they had kids the kids are all messed up because of their parents lifestyle.

These foolish choices only end up in their ultimate destination which is eternal damnation in Hell.

Just as alls it takes it a tiny pebble to start a powerful destructive avalanche so too can the wrong choices lead to devastating consequences in your life. Joseph son of Jehovah

On the other hand most of those that refused to follow this destructive path are living a comfortable life with peace of mind and for the most part in good physical health.

“You are free to choose, but the choices you make today will determine what you will have, be, and do in the tomorrows of your life.” Author Unknown

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Ori (the Lord is my Light) for lighting the proper path to take in life. I extol Thee in the name of the Light of the world Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
