That is Our Golden Years.

For to me, to live is Christ [He is my source of joy, my reason to live] and to die is gain [for I will be with Him in eternity]. Philippians 1:21 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Even though I was living a comfortable life by the worlds standards there was something missing. There was a lot of volunteer work in the community but there was something missing. There was a huge hole in my heart for love, joy and purpose. It stayed that way for many years.

I have lived both the life of worldly luxury and the world of Christly extravagance and I chose Christ’s over the world every time. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Then, slowly after my live was committed unto Christ the hole became smaller and smaller until it was non-exsistant. It was replaced by a meaning in life: being a free will servant of my Heavenly King, Jesus Christ. He was my reason to live. There was Heavenly joy in my heart which is uncomparable to the empty happiness offered by the world. The Divine love between Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I share is uncombarable to anything the world has to offer. Now I am truly living in my golden years.

When we live moment by moment in Christs love, that is our golden years. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Father) for blessing me with Divine meaning in my life and Your Divine love and joy in my heart. I exalt You in the name of my best friend whose companionship I cherish Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Duty or Obligation?

But if a widow has children or grandchildren [who are adults], see to it that these first learn to show great respect to their own family [as their religious duty and natural obligation], and to compensate their parents or grandparents [for their upbringing]; for this is acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God. 1 Timothy 5:4 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I am a live in caregiver for my elderly mother.

Every month she extravagantly gives money to her elder son and grand daughter, even though they do not life a finger to help with the yard work, house work or care of mom.

I do all the work with no help but she gives miserly to me.

One day we had a big fight where I told her to tell them to get their lazy butts down here and help out. I was fed up and ready to leave. I prayed in my tent (the only place where I can get peace) for guidance on where to go.

The Lord gave a one word reply: STAY.

I decided  to stay but that I was going to go on strike until there was a change around here and that mom starts paying me for my work so that I can build a nest egg for when she passes on I will not be left empty handed.

Jehovah asked me a three word question: Duty or obligation?

Duty is an act of love while obligation is an exchange of goods. I chose duty unto my Jehovah and my mother. Jehovah questioned me if I trusted Him to always provide for me or if I chose to trust in a bank account?

Obviously I chose Him.

In the course of the next three days He kept on reassuring me through Bible verses and daily Christian devotionals sent to my email that not only will He always provide for me but that I shall be abundantly rewarded for my service unto Him.

Now I could care less about the inequality in the blood family because I know that my Heavenly family shall always stand beside me and richly reward me.

Prayer: Please Jesus Hamelech ( Jesus my Lord King ) bless me to always keep my mind and heart concentrated upon fulfilling my duty to my Heavenly King no matter how foolish it looks to the world. I know in my heart of heart that just doing so brings joy to You and that is the most important wealth in my life . I am also assured of Your Divine care for my in my service to you and that is the best investment of all. I thank You in Your awesome name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day
