Is an Empty Life

foolish acts

A pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life. Proverbs 13:7 The Message

I remember being laughed at for having a simple basic cell phone. Can it be used to send and receive calls, yes. Can it be used to send and receive tex messages Yes. Then what more do I need. These folks would then laugh and tell me about all the gadgets on their cell phones. The questions asked would be do you need or use them do you know how to work them all they why did you waste all that money purchasing something you will not use Of course they would brag about it being a certain make while mine was from a lesser known (although reliable) maker. Then they would be asked how much they paid for said cell phone to which they would respond that they paid over a hundred times more that I did. So you went into debt just to pump up your ego? Sounds foolish to me. Then they are miserable because they become slaves to the banks paying for an overpriced piece of metal while I am living a contented life.

It is the same with clothes, food and living accommodations and every other aspect of life. They stupidly go into debt way over their head and live a miserable life while I live a simple life walking with Christ and am quite contented and grateful for His blessings of meeting my daily needs.

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its gain. This too is vanity (emptiness). Ecclesiastes. 5:10 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Follow the proper leader.

Jesus lived a simple life in communion with Jehovah and was very content. Should we not follow His lead? Joseph a son of Jehovah

Greed and vanity are a sin and there is always a price to pay for following the devils lead

“Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.” — Author Unknown

Prayer: Exaltation unto You oh most sanctified Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for generous provision You faithfully provided me with every day. I extol Thee in the name of He whose cherished blood provides the key to open Heavens door Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

Pray for One Another’s

Pray for one another’s well-being, contentment, and protection. 1 Peter 3:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Praying for others is an important part of daily prayer. When we see others in need it is part of our Christian duty (duty is an act of love) to sincerely, continuously pray for them. Do not pray for them once and then forget about it but continually pray form them. It is also good for them to know you are praying for them. As well, ask them how things are going to see how effective your prayer is because in doing so you are reminding them that your prayer is constant because you care about them.

An added benefit is when you see someone who is not a Christian having difficulty and you inform them that you are praying for them. From my experience, they are always shocked. This is a great opportunity to share Jesus with them.

Do not take prayer lightly.

When you are a Christian you have a constant hot line that is never busy to our Heavenly Father and He listens and answers the righteous man or womans prayers.

The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:16 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“Prayer has a way of blowing wind into other sails in your life that you might not even be praying about.” Adam Stadtmiller

Prayer: Please El Deah (God of knowledge) bless me with Your supreme knowledge of who to include in my daily morning prayers so that they will be used to the best effect. I humbly request this in the name of He who taught His disciples to proper manner in which to seek Thy favour Jesus Christ. Amen May

Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

The Secret to Contentment Is

But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God]. 1 Timothy 6:6 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

The only way to obtain contentment within us is to be blessed with the Holy Spirit’s indwelling in our heart.

Your dream job quickly becomes boring after a few months.

After the honeymoon is over there is still love but not constant contentment.

How much contentment is there in exercise? Oh your body may be in shape but how is your spirit? How much contentment is there in materialism? Very little from what I see.

Most times there is constant contentment in my heart (we all go through rough times in our lives where there is little contentment but when we pray Jehovah blesses us with contentment, peace and love).

Instead of constantly looking to change your circumstances why not find contentment in the unchanging love of the Holy Spirit?

He is always there and there is nothing to compare to His loving contentment He blesses us with.

“The secret to contentment is Christ in me, not a different set of circumstances.” Elisabeth Elliot

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shalom (The Lord blesses with Peace) for blessing me with peace and contentment in Your daily provisions for me. These are priceless treasures that I daily cherish and thank you for. I sing praises unto Thy abundantly gracious name in the name of He who I am content to be with more than any and all others Jesus Christ. Amen May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night.

May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah

When Folks Concentrate On

Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. Psalm 37:4 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

We see it constantly (especially in the western countries) where folks foolishly go so deep into debt they will never get out of it. The end result is a lot of discontentment in their lives because they are slaves unto consumerism (which is a cruel master). There is no peace in their lives because they are constantly worried about paying off their debt. There is no love in their hearts because they are angry they are so far in debt. There certainly is no joy in their live because they lament over their pitiful state. The end result of this is a lot of physical sickness like ulcers and mental health. As well the heavy load of constant stress wears out their immune system so they are easy prey for any and all diseases that come their way.

When we are delighted in our loving relationship with Jehovah we do not need material stimulation to appease us. Our desires are to expand our loving relationship with Him and with others. This results in a life filled with contentment, love, joy and peace. As well, those who delight in our Lord have fewer sickness than those not in our Heavenly family because of Jehovahs peace, love and joy that reigns in our hearts.

When folks concentrate on Heavenly desires rather than earthly desires there is a lot more contentment, peace, love and joy in their lives. Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for bountiful blessings of Your Heavenly treasure in my life and in my heart. They are the truest treasure of all. I praise You in the name of the greatest blessed treasure of all Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

No Man Can Fulfill His Calling.

Just as each one of you has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], employ it in serving one another as [is appropriate for] good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor]. 1 Peter 4:10 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

I remember so many in my younger years bragging that they did not need anybody. They only lived for themselves. Now that they are older and in need of help there is no one to help them and they have no one to love them. They are depressed, lonely folks whose daily life is a living Hell of loneliness.

I have seen so many use their God given talents to help others. Now that they are older and in need of help they are surrounded with folks falling all over them helping them. Their is a contented life filled with love, joy and peace.

Jehovah has endowed each of us with a special talent that is to be used in the community. To neglect that talent or to use it for your own selfish ends is indeed a great sin in our Heavenly Fathers eyes. Those who neglect to use it for their God given purpose pay dearly for it in their elder years.

When you surround yourself with nobody but yourself you end up with nobody but yourself. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

No man can compass the ends of life by drawing a little line around himself upon the ground. No man can fulfill his calling as a Christian by seeking the welfare of his wife and family only, for these are only a sort of greater self.” Charles Spurgeon

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for blessing me with plentiful opportunities to enrich myself with the most precious treasure of all, those of the heart, every day. In doing so I know I am also enriching Your heart which enriches my heart all the more. I exalt Thee in the name of my greatest treasure Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you A house full of sunshine, Hearts full of cheer, Love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

We are Most Content When.

But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God]. 1 Timothy 6:6 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

Godliness means that we emulate our treasured Heavenly King. This brings great contentment because we are not bothered by earthly desires nor caught up in worldly cares. We rest in the bosom of He who loves us, cares for us and cares about us. That is all one needs in life to be content.

To be content is described as feeling that one’s needs or desires have been met.

When we walk in harmony with Jehovah it pleases Him to fulfill His cherished childrens desires as long as they are righteous and not greedy.

I am most content when I am in communion with my Heavenly Beloved. Earthly pleasures hold no place in my heart. Therefore my Beloved causes my cup to over run.

As well there is contentment in knowing my cherished one always supplies the daily needs. For this I am immensely grateful and both express it verbally and physically every day.

“We are most content when we are satisfied with what He has given us, grateful for what Jehovah blesses with and generous to those in need.” Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shalom (The Lord blesses with Peace) for blessing me with peace, contentment and joy through out my life as I walk in harmony with Your sacred choices in my life. I praise Thee in the name of He who guided His disciples unto You Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Peevish Discontented Minds

The whole congregation of the Israelites [grew discontented and] murmured and rebelled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, and the Israelites said to them, Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger.” (To understand Israel’s rebellious behavior, it is important to grasp the contrast between life in Egypt and nomadic life in the wilderness. Despite the hardships of slavery survival was not an issue in Egypt, where they were guaranteed food and other necessities. But the desert wilderness was hostile and unforgiving, and survival was an art. Desert nomads needed to understand the wilderness in order to stay alive; they had to learn, among other things, how to protect themselves from the weather, where to find water and pasture, and how to find and prepare scarce food, or live primarily from what their livestock could provide them. So the Israelites viewed every new problem they faced as life-threatening. Instead of looking back and taking comfort from God’s earlier miracles, they doubted God’s ability and willingness to help them. Their fears and doubts subsequently came to be expressed as irrational anger toward Moses. ) Exodus 16:2-3 Holy Bible Amplified Version

How many of us ask Jehovah for something but are never satisfied?

We ask for a job but when we get one we do not like the work because it is too hard or it is too boring.

We ask for a place to live but it is too far from the bus stop or grocery store or park.

We ask for direction in life but it is not where we want to go.

We desire good Christian friends but can always find fault with them.

I think the real reason we are discontented is because of greed. We want the best and nothing less is good enough for us.

Jehovah blesses with what we need not always with what we want. Joseph son of Jehovah

That is the ultimate insult of ungratefulness and a huge slap in the face to our loving generous Father in Heaven. More so for those of us that have walked with Christ for any length of time and so can reflect back at His previous provisions for us. Peevish discontented minds will find fault with that which has no fault in it but that it is too good for them.

Those that might be very happy often make themselves very miserable by their discontents. Matthew Henry

Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me to always have a grateful heart towards you and those around me for all the wonderful blessings You and those around me share with me every day. I ask this in the name of the greatest blessing of which I am eternally grateful for Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
