Prospective Choices

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.

I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Yet True Godliness with Contentment Is

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth 1 Timothy 6:6 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Godliness is conforming ones life to Jehovahs will.

Contentment is being satisfied and grateful for what you have.

Therefore, what is being said here is that spiritual wealth that can only come from Jehovah is the greatest wealth of all.

Abundance, or prosperity, is having all that you need to meet any circumstance, with enough left over to give wherever God might direct you.

The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalms 84:11

When we walk in harmony with the Holy Spirits guidance our gracious Heavenly Father supplies all of our daily needs. Thus, trusting Jehovah at His word that He will meet all of our needs ( not wants) we will not suffer the stress that the world is experiencing at this troublesome time.

If I want the Masters rewards I must be willing to obey His direction in my life.  Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides Philippians 4:19 ) for Your abundant grace that is showered upon me every day as I walk in obedience unto The Holy Spirits guidance.

I applaud You in the name of the greatest spiritual gift You have blessed me with, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May your heart be open and obedient unto The Holy Spirits guidance this day so your day will be filled with contentment. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Are You Willing to Die to Live?

CHRISTIAN SCARSI have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.Galatians 2:20 New Living Translation

To gain a fantastic life we must first sacrifice a worthless one. When we become Christians we are to sacrifice the old life for the Christian life. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Notice the word SACRIFICE.

This usually, but not always, entails a very painful experience.

It is usually very difficult to give up your old life. Many times it will mean walking away from bad habits and friends, indeed, maybe even family.

During this painful and trying time do not worry; Jesus is right there with you. Call out to Him and He will send His Spirit helper, The Holy Spirit to strengthen you, comfort you and encourage you.

When you come out the other end of your walk through that fiery hell, you will experience joy, peace, contentment and know you are loved like never before. You will be close to our great Emmanuel (God amongst us) and will feel such a close bond with Him the pain experienced in your walk through hell will seem trivial in comparison to the peace, joy and contentment in the loving arms of Jesus.

“The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Rom. 8:18). New living Translation

As well read Psalms 23 for encouragement.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Hossanha (The Lord our Maker) for crucifying my self to be given the priceless gift of life with Christ. In His lovely name we give thanks. Amen

May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I am Rich, I am Poor

CHRIST IN ME

But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today. Deuteronomy 8:11 New Living Translation Bible

I am rich, I am poor.

That pretty much sums up my life.

When the times were materially good my spiritual relationship with Jehovah was as cool as a corpse. The funny thing is though that even though I was living a life of comfort and ease there was something missing. I could not put my finger on it.

Then, when the good times came to an end and the material hard times came I found I was close to Jehovah spiritually.

From a lot of experience I greatly prefer the spiritual wealth over the material ones.

There is a saying that when the times are good the church is empty but when the times are hard the church is full.

Why wait for the hard times when you can be blessed with a daily close loving obedient relationship with Jehovah. Then when the hard times come, they are not so hard because of your closeness with Jehovah.

When we arrogantly turn our back on Jehovahs commands, decrees and regulations we pay a very severe price for it. Just read the history books of any country to confirm it.

I have found that this verse is oh so very true to be blessed with a contented, grateful life:

Give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. Proverbs 30:8 New Living Translation Bible

“We can stand affliction better than we can prosperity, for in prosperity we forget God.” Dwight L. Moody

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El SIMCHAH GIYL (God my Exceeding Joy) for the most wonderful of gifts and that is the never ending joy that comes from nurturing an eternal loving relationship with You. I revere You in the name of He who brings me ecstatic joy when in His wonderful presence Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with peace and joy every day.
