When We “Throw Darts” At

‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,  you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:40 The Holy Bible The New Living Translation

This is a story about a young lady named Sally and her experience in a recent seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.

On this particular day, Sally walked into the class and knew they were in for a fun day.

On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts. Dr. Smith told the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who had made them angry, and he would allow them to throw darts at the person’s picture.

Sally’s friend drew a picture of a girl who had stolen her boyfriend. Another guy drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a picture of a former friend. The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the students were throwing their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart and everyone was laughing hysterically.

Finally, Dr. Smith asked all the students to be seated. He came to the front of the class with a less-than-amused look on his face. As he began removing the target from the wall, there appeared underneath a picture of Jesus. A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture; holes and jagged marks covered Jesus’ face, and His eyes were pierced.

Dr. Smith said only these words. “In as much as you have done it unto the least of these my brothers, you have done it unto Me.” Matthew 25:40.

So, the next time you are tempted to behave in a hateful spiteful manner just remember, that as you are doing it to someone else, so too are you doing it to Jesus.

Prayer: Oh my dearly Beloved Jesus Christ Heseh (God is love 1 John 4:16 ) please forgive me for the times I cruelly, unjustifiably throw darts at those around me. I pray You send The Holy Spirit to mentor me in the use of the proper etiquette for those around me. I humbly request this in Your most most civil name. Amen

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah
