A closer walk with our beloved friend.

Why do You Give?

Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

We are bombarded with feel good stories on the TV news of giving to help the poor, giving to help those with sicknesses and disease.

BUT, what is at the heart of the giver?

Do they genuinely give because of their concern or do they give to feel good and to be prideful on social media look at me, look at me. Or to brag to friends, family and co-workers? Do they participate to be a part of the crowd or because they are peer pressured to give?

Yes the Lord loves a cheerful giver BUT, we must first take it to Him in prayer where to give, how much to give and when to give. Then, we will be giving to please the Lord which is the only reason any Christian should give.

Give joyfully and thankfully to the Lord in abundance as a sacrifice of love and appreciation as He has given in abundance sometimes with great cost (like the cross) to you.

Why do you give?

Just as I have one hand open to receive my Beloved Jehovahs blessings, my other hand is open to sharing them with those in need. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God supplies) for blessing me with numerous opportunities to share with those in need. I praise You in the name of He who gave His blood for my salvation Jesus Christ. Amen

May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. JOY-J-Jehovah first and always, O-others next, Y-yourself last-JOY. GOD BLESS you Joseph and I pray for your continued joy in HIM. Have a wonderful Christmas!

    • Thank you so very much.
Happiness depends upon things, joy is gained by en JOY ing a loving relationship with our Father, our best friend (Jesus) and our Teacher (the Holy Spirit).
May you be blessed with abundant joy every day.

  2. Compelled by the LORD, willingly and joyfully, as it should be. Otherwise it is will be for show, OR will bring regret/remorse. I pray your holiday is full of blessings Joseph 🙂

  3. I’ll never forget one time before I was saved I saw a lady in the grocery store and she was on my heart. This was the first time this ever happened to me.
She was pushing a handicapped wheelchair and i stalked her throughout the store and waited for her to get to the registers. I told her “I’ve never done anything like this in my life but God told me to give you this. I’ve been a caregiver too.” And I gave her a big hug and left. I’ll never ever forget that as long as I live.

I walked past the Salvation Army outside because I thought “I’d rather give to someone who needs it.” And then right after that happened.

    It was remarkable.

    • Bravo for you sweet little sister.
I am sure Jehovah, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and a host of angels in Heaven were clapping with delight at your sweet gift of love.

  4. Yes, indeed-giving must come from the heart, not from any worldly standards or the meaning is lost.
