What Will Happen To

The godly can look forward to a reward, while the wicked can expect only judgment. Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you! Trust in your money and down you go! But the godly flourish like leaves in spring. Those who bring trouble on their families inherit the wind. The fool will be a servant to the wise. The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends. If the righteous are rewarded here on earth, what will happen to wicked sinners? Proverbs 11:23-31 The Holy Bible New Living Translation

One day while volunteering with a Christian organization delivering furniture to the needy we delivered furniture to welfare bums. They were so lazy they refused to even carry the free blankets used to keep them warm. They were ungrateful.

But, you know what else they were?

Very sad and ashamed .

It was because they knew their lifestyle was wrong not because of us.

We were respectful and friendly with them. Listening to them talk amongst themselves we hear them constantly brag about themselves while drinking and smoking cigarettes.

This is vanity and it comes from a selfish heart.

But the sad thing is that: When you surround yourself with yourself you end up with nobody but yourself. That is a very lonely place to be. Joseph a son of Jehovah

They were living a destructive lifestyle and it was only destroying themselves.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. 2 Corinthians 5:10 The Holy Bible New Living Translation

Later we did deliver furniture to low income folks who were very grateful so it more than evened out for being a rewarding day knowing that we helped the truly needy.

And, because we are Christians and those we helped were not, we gave glory to Jesus and by His grace used this as a conduit to guide them to Him.

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. Hebrews 13:16The  Holy Bible New Living Translation

There is a difference between those in need and those who are too lazy to support themselves. Supporting the later is a waste of the resources Jehovah has given you to help those who are truly in need. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah El Deah (God of knowledge) bless me with the knowledge of discernment on how to share with those in need and not those who are lazy and ungrateful. I sincerely request this in the name of the wisest of all Jesus Christ. Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

I am an unpaid live in care giver for my aged mother. As well I regularly do volunteer work with a local church group helping working poor establish themselves independently. . I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. I have such a hard time with this sometimes Joseph…I am toooooo soft sometimes….I give in and then regret it later. I am getting better but yes you are correct for sure. I know that not everyone on social assistance wants to be there and many do try to better their lives. I have seen it. I have also seen the other side of it where many just abuse the system and take advantage of it where ever they can. My mother was a social work all her life so I know what happens. I know we are suppose to be loving and kind always but sometimes love and kindness only makes and prolongs a very bad lifestyle. Sometimes love has to be hard and sometimes we do not learn any other way! God Bless you and have a wonderful day Joseph!

    • Yes I agree completely with this.
I too was a softy at one time and was used and abused a lot. Now, although not a cold hard rock, the Lord has blessed me with a much more discerning heart.
I did a lot of volunteer work at soup kitchens and saw both side of the coin. The few that wanted to better their lives I worked tirelessly to help them. Oh what joy to see them lift themselves out of that pit. It was well worth the effort and sacrifice. The scammers, I would merely offer them a job ( I had contacts) and tell them to work or shut up and get away from me. Needless to say, I was not their favourite volunteer).
Jehovah bless you with a discerning heart to know when to be the willow(soft and gentle) and when to be the oak (hard and cold).

  2. I struggled with the giving until I got scammed. It was an old lady at a home improvement Parking lot… and I really have a special place in my heart for elderly people . Long story short I gave what I had in my purse. I found out she drives around different places and I was so upset I drove where I thought she may be in the next parking lot and waited until she was around a group of people and I jumped out the car screaming … so she at least wouldn’t scam those 4 people. Then! I happened to see her at the next place I went to and she sped off when she saw me. 😂

I never did that or thought I would ever do that in my whole life.

So I’m very cautious now. Discernment is so important.

    • Here in big cities they think many pan handlers get enough to live in expensive apartments.
There are so many scammers today it is difficult to discern those truly in need which is why we need The Holy Spirits wisdom

  3. But the real reason it got me to I think was she “prayed” for me. If she would have just lied I probably would’ve let it alone … but she’s scamming in the name of prayer and I lost my mind. I told her she’s going to answer to God one day.

    • I have met many who scam others they are missionaries when all’s they are doing is living high on the hog from the vulnerable while giving Christians a bad name.

      • When we were in Colorado a lady came up to us at a bus stop as a missionary selling jewelry.

My dads friend told her he’d be happy to help her out and asked who her god was. She could not give an answer at all! He didn’t just say His was Jesus but explained his God was Yahweh and named a long name and description of who he served.

She just kind of laughed and said she didn’t know and walked off… to someone else.

That was something awesome for me to see!

      • I too ask questions of the scammers that reveals their true identity. Usually they explode yelling and swearing as they walk away.

  4. I have seen the “gas tank scam” where they come to you with an empty gas container and claim they ran out of gas down the street and have their mom and baby in the car. They ask for money for gas to fill the container. I was once with someone who offered to meet them at the gas station next door to fill the container, but we went there the person never showed up. Turns out he just wanted the cash!

    • That is funny. Never heard that one before.
I had them ask for bus fare at a bus stop. I would inform them I would pay their fare. They just walked away and tried to scam someone else.
Of course there is the old I haven’t eaten in three days one. I would just inform them I work at a soup kitchen as a volunteer. They are always looking for help. Come with me. They would run away.
