NOT TRY, TRUST

Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him. Do not fret; it leads only to evil. Psalm 37:7-8 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

When Jehovah gives you a vision or dream, wait for Him to fulfill it. When you go before Him it only leads to disaster.

I did when He gave me the vision of teaching, waited that is.

Instead of just jumping in and beginning to teach English as a Second Language, I patiently took a course and then waited two years before stepping out in His direction at His time.

Yes, I fretted (worried) over whether this is what Jehovah really intended for me to do in service unto Him.

Yes, I fretted (a lot) when He directed me to go China (Not a safe place for Christians to go).

But, as usual, it was all for nothing. Jehovah did direct me where to go and protected me while there. As well, He taught me so much during this time.

Jehovah works in His time, in His way. We, His children, are to go where Daddy leads and do as Daddy wishes us to do. This is the Christian life. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) for teaching me to be patient while I wait to accomplish Your tasks in Your way in Your time. I thank You in the name of He who waited until just the right time to come as a sacrifice for my entry into Your Heavenly family Jesus Christ. Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

I am an unpaid live in care giver for my aged mother. As well I regularly do volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and with a local church group helping working poor establish themselves independently. . I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. Oh gees. 😂
If this doesn’t have my name all over it. He’s always right on time even in our 1/2 second of doubt and happen to log into a website.

  2. “So You’re really saying not to quit my current job and live in a parking lot?”

    • I do not know if you are serious but there plenty of folks doing just that.

I lived in some hobo villages while bicycling down the west coast and let me tell you so of those vehicles (trucks and vans) looked very comfy.

It is a sad disgrace that more and more folks are not being paid a livable wage.

That is one reason for the protests in Hong Kong.

Many are living in rooms the size of a bathroom and share the toilet and kitchen with twenty others.

Where I lived, when laying on the bed my feet could touch the opposite wall. The bathroom was so small I could have a shit while having a shower (literally).
      There was no kitchen.

It was okay for me because I was only there for a couple of days every six months while renewing my visa but I would not want to live there permanently.

Would you like me to pray for your situation to improve?

      • I said it as a joke. My circumstances are only my own problem because I do not have patience to wait for what I know is coming. I have a job, can afford groceries, and am living with family who loves me. It’s almost not even worth talking about after reading your comment. I would never turn down prayer, but my situation is not a ‘real’ crisis. My job is not horrible … in fact I love it for the most part … it’s just what it is at the moment.

I’m getting to see what a big corporation takeover looks like from a tiny, “meaningless in the grand scheme of things” job. I’ve gotten to see so much over the last 5 years … all while trying to get out but have learned so much spiritually and about business.

I realized the other day I think God isgoing to let me watch the next step … that I don’t necessarily want to see … but who knows.

      • Glad to hear you are not in dire circumstances

      • Also… sorry for writing so much on your beautiful post. But thanks for your response.

      • I enjoy your comments. Thank you

  3. Yesterday, I was reading Ruth and literally just finished “The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of
Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust”

A customer comes up to the desk and says ‘Aw don’t be sad that you have to work. It will be worth it in the end.’

    • At least you have the dignity to have a job. I applaud you for that. And,yes you will be rewarded for it somewhere down the line. I always was. I worked some pretty bad jobs and the Lord used me in them.

Afterwards He arranged for better living conditions (nothing fancy but comfortable).

  4. Psalm 37 is my favorite Psalm. Trusting in God’s timing is not always easy but it’s worth it. Amazing He prepared you to teach in China! 😊
