Should Provide for Their

Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. Galatians 6:6 New Living Testament

Unfortunately today, as in years gone by most congregations are niggardly towards their pastors. I know times are tight, they always have been.

However, what say there is a challenge amongst all congregations that everybody in the congregations work the same hours as the pastor, this includes not just making and sharing the sermon but in visiting the sick in the hospitals, having Bible study classes, doing counseling classes and attending church meetings. I dare say you will be a stranger to your family.

Then, see if you can get by on what you pay them for food, housing costs, school and after school activities and what kind of a vacation will you have?

The average pastor is over worked, underpaid, underappreciated and over demanded upon. Joseph a son of Jehovah

What say you show a whole lot of appreciation for him not just today but every week.

Prayer: Please bless me Jehovah RAB (The Lord my Nourisher) with the means to nourish a pastor as You have nourished me. I humbly request this in the name of He who nourishes me all the way to Heavens Gate Jesus Christ. Amen

May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I am an unpaid live in care giver for my aged mother. As well I regularly do volunteer work with a local church group helping working poor establish themselves independently. . I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. This is so true. The material well-being of our spiritual leaders is (our) the believer’s responsibility. We should shoot ourselves in the leg when we don’t attend dutifully to their needs in the natural.

    • As well as the spiritual.
How much thanks do they get?
Who do they have to talk about their problems with?
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Holy Bible New Living Translation

    • We must allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to the right time and place to offer that help. From my experience, to do otherwise only leads to disaster.
