A closer walk with our beloved friend.

What is Idolatry?

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty. Revelation 21:27 New Living Translation

Jesus is talking about those forbidden from entering Heavens Gate.

Do you see how repulsive idolatry is to Him?

You think you do not worship idols?

How about your pets? I have seen many pets rule the house instead of the owner. Yes I love our pets like they were my own children but instead of worshiping them, I thank Jehovah for blessing me with such loving creatures. See the difference?

How about children and grand children (this is especially true of mothers and grand mothers. Oh how many times I have heard this abomination:” It is a grandmothers right to spoil her grand children. “ You will pay for that. When they grow up they will only want anything to do with you when they want something from you. I have, sadly, seen this too many times).

How about your home? You should have seen some folks when I walked across their yards when delivering flyers. Wow, they went ballistic. Same thing about cars.

There are so many idols in society today it is a wonder Jehovah is not crowded out of society (which for the most part He is). And then we wonder why society is as bad as it is today.

But you know what?

Really we are using these to become like gods ourselves.

You spoil a pet for attention (which is self love). The same for children and grand children. Your house and all other material things you use to show off what you have instead of what Jehovah has given you.

What a disgrace.

For what is idolatry if not this: to worship the gift rather than the giver. John Calvin

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for Your graciousness in consistently providing all good things in my life. As well my Love, thank you that these opportunities make my heart dance with joy at praising You for Your generosity towards this child of Yours. I praise You in the name of Your greatest gift to me Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with peace and joy every day.

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah
