A closer walk with our beloved friend.

I am Not a Thief.

Well, it is that time of year again.

The early spring flowers are coming up. An of course that means our flower gardens are jam packed with tulip bulbs and daffodils. If we did not plant them (and we did not) then you like the neighbors may wonder how all those bulbs got there.

The villains of course are those wicked little rodents called squirrels. I swear they go all around the neighborhood and dig up everyone’s bulbs and bury them in our flower garden and some in our yard.

Now, there is barely any room for any other flowers.

The strange thing is though that they dig up the flowers from the neighbors that feed them and plant them in our garden while I am constantly shooing them away.

So, I am not a thief, it truly is the neighborhood squirrels that are doing it. I do not care how strange the look I get in the neighborhood when I explain that to them.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Jireh (God supplies) supply these crazy rodents with some place else to stash their ill gotten loot instead of our garden. I humbly beseech You in the name of He who plants the flowers of love in our hearts Jesus Christ. Amen

P.S. The neighbors believe me due to the fact that one of them stood there talking with me and we watched one of these tiny thieves dig up one of his bulbs and dash over and bury it in our garden.

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. That’s so funny – just like the story about Sam, the cat without claws, who now doesn’t go astray anymore and chose to become a full time model instead, preferably on sofas… your home and garden seems to attract and house peculiar beings 🙂
Thanks for sharing with us and GOD bless you!

  2. And so your prayer was answered. God provided you with the truth of your words by having a witness, when the critter exposed himself as the true theif🌷🐿.
The truth always comes out sooner or later.

    Blessings always.

  3. LOL. Sounds like the Lord is blessing and showing you special favor by way of those pesky little rodents! 🙂

  4. Pesky pests! Our neighborhood is overrun by chipmunks. They dig up plants for the taste of the roots. Plus eat the leaves of tulips and crocus down to the ground. 😦

  5. So very funny. Last year I had the squirrels bring twine from my neighbors yard, wrap it around our lawn chairs and then around the legs of our patio tables. If I didn’t see the squirrel myself, I would have wondered who came to our yard and did it. 😂😂

  6. I sympathize with your frustration 🙂
Do you remember the old t.v. commercial for Post-It notes? Inside the tree in their cozy home was plastered with Post-It notes to remind them where they buried all their nuts and your flower bulbs! I too had a bulb thief and so I planted Daffodils they claim rodents will avoid.. must be mine were a different flavor.. and so on to the next trick.. covering the bulbs with chicken wire..
But God must have had them replace the stolen Daffodils because last year I had pretty purple flowers, I never planted 🙂

    • They are indeed little thieves.

Glad your garden turned out so nice.
This year I am about two week behind because of all of the rain.

Our flower garden has so many tulpis I do not think I can get anything else in there
