For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine [retribution and the deliverance of justice rest with Me], I will repay [the wrongdoer].” Hebrews 10:30 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Revenge is an ever expanding circle of destruction and pain which envelopes not just those involved but also a lot of innocent lives as well.

Most of the shootings that occur at schools come from a student being bullied and wanting revenge.

How many innocent lives are taken because of the action being taken?

Sometimes you want revenge so bad you can taste it. That is the vile liquid of the devil which will only destroy you as well as your victims and innocent bystanders.

That is why we must leave vengeance in the hands of the all wise Jehovah.

He knows the perpetrators far better than you so He knows the right manner in which to deliver justice and at the right time.

It is difficult at times but waiting for Jehovahs justice, true justice will be served is the best course of action to take. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ghmolah (The God of Recompense. The God of vengeance ) for Your assurance that the wicked shall receive their just punishment in Your discerning time and in Your manner. I exalt Thee in the name of the Supreme Judge Jesus Christ. Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. Amen. This is such a difficult yet important topic to touch on. Guess trusting in God for vengeance is also a test of our faith based on the Blessed knowledge that God is just and He will do what needs to be done. 🙂

    • Jehovah know when and how to exercise true justice both to attempt to bring the wicked unto repentance and to avenge the wrong.

We attempt to deliver justice for vengeance and get it all wrong.

  2. This reminds me of the Imprecatory Psalms… they aren’t so much about the psalmist (usually David) wanting to have his own vengeance upon his enemy as they are about the psalmist praying and believing in God’s justice and vengeance upon evil and those who work it. Very nice article, friend… and a blessing of a reminder for me this morning, as I’m struggling with some strong emotions towards others.

Lord, help me to leave justice in Your capable, willing, loving hands. Help me to free myself and others from the burden and destruction of desiring my own type of vengeance on others. Forgive me, Father. Teach me. Guard my heart from these things.

    • Thank you and that is a very wonderful prayer.

Yes sometimes we need to fall upon our knees to ask for trust and strength to leave it in Jehovahs hands.

I have been in your situation more than a few times. I am glad I did not attempt to be judge and executioner because it would have only made matters worse.

  3. Thank you for this! There is so much comfort in knowing that God will bring about justice in His timing. Blessings!
