The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life and his words of wisdom are a source of blessing, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence and evil. Proverbs 10:11 Holy Bible Amplified Version
It may be the truth but why did you say it?
I have heard many spiteful folks say mean and cruel things to someone out of a sadistic pleasure to intentionally hurt them. In their defence to prevent retribution they say: “ Well it is the truth you know.” These pitiful creatures are not so mature as to take criticism whether lovingly or hatefully aimed at them.
Before you say something critical towards anyone remember: Why am I saying it?
Is it out of spite or is it to correct an error in their lives.
Is this the right place and time? I find a quiet place one on one is the best place for this discussion.
Am I qualified to speak on the subject? For example how can a single soul give council to a married one?
And finally, the most important aspect: will it bring glory to Christ? Will your Christian behavior drive people to Christ or away from Him?
“Truth is not a virtue unless it is given with love!” — Pete Welsh
Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) always guide my words to be those of love and virtue not hate and mean spiritedness so that they may bring healing, wisdom and strength to those that hear them. May my words emulate You my love. I humbly request this in the name of He who always spoke words of love Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day
