For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed in (trusted, relied on) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living, right standing with God).” Romans 4:3The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Faith is an action word.

Abraham was told to leave the comfort of the city he dwelt in and to leave all the wealth he had to go out into the unknown.

He did not know where Jehovah was leading him, He did not know where his daily provisions were going to come from.

He did not have any protection from the wild animals nor bandits. At that time He did not even know Jehovah.

Yet, through all of this he obeyed when Jehovah told him to leave his comfort and security to go out to the unknown world ( at that time leaving the security of the city you were living in was like going to another planet).

You are told to go when it does not makes sense to go. You are living a comfortable life. You are going to leave family and friends, have no means of financial support and no protection will you have the faith ( which is another word for trust) to obey Jehovahs command?

You are told to stay when it does makes sense to. You have no job but there is another one offered in another city. Your savings have been depleted. There is rising crime rate with little protection from the authorities. Will you have the faith to stay when all else says to flee?

Faith is obedience.

Will you trust Jehovah to do what does not make sense to do and to not do what does make sense to do?

In my life all of my failures can be traced back to lack of faith in Jehovahs commands.

My greatest successes were when I was obedient unto Jehovahs commands even though they seemed insane ( indeed many of my biggest fights with the family was when they were trying to convince me to disobey Jehovahs commands and I was bitterly mocked for my obedience ).

Prayer: Please Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) bless me to always be faithful and obedient unto You knowing that You are the most faithful of all and Your commands are for my good. I sincerely request this in the name of He who was obedient and faithful unto You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. Amen! Thank you for this reminder!

  2. Thank you. Living by faith at the beginning is not that easy. When you live with people that do not share the same beliefs we then get mocked. But by God’s grace we live through it all.
