My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]. 1 John 2:1 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

In todays terms Jesus would best be described in this verse as our defence lawyer. Every day we commit numerous crimes against Jehovah. Each and every one of them condemns us to eternal damnation in Hell. Thankfully when we confess with a repentant heart (repent means to admit what you did, admit it was wrong, apologize for it and stop doing it ) by the blood of our Heavenly sacrificial Lamb ( Jesus Christ ) we are forgiven. He represents us as our defence lawyer. He has never lost a case.

This does not give us contre blanche to sin and believe we can con Jesus by saying sorry and deliberately returning to the filthy sin we committed .

A sincere contrite heart Christ is quick to forgive. An arrogant heart that foolishly falsely confesses their sin with out true repentance Christ is quick to condemn. Joseph- Anthony; Green.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ganan (The Lord is Our Defence) that Thy Holy blood is the only defense that acquits me in Jehovahs supreme court. I extol Thee in Thy most Holy name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.
