Bearing Graciously with One Another

Bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. Colossians 3:13 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Ever notice how some folks can just rub your nerves raw for the simplest little thing.

When that happens to me, I pray that the Lord blesses me with a means to not only endure it but to be gracious to the offender. Most times they are not even aware of their offense ( here is a little tip for you, when you are traveling on the public transit, at work or school, in the library or anywhere in public always carry little packets of cleanex. That way when someone is constantly sniffling graciously offer them some cleanex. When they are embarrassed just explain to them that that is why you carry the cleanex because you get the sniffles as well. It makes them feel at ease and may be a great way to begin a conversation with them).

When there is a dispute between you and another pick a quiet place to bring it up graciously ( of course it is always best to have a mentor to offer suggestions on how to handle the matter, that way they will not feel like they are being put on the attack which will cause them to not only shut down but also to become defensive and there will be no resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved discreetly, the next time bring in a mediator.

Now yes the Lord has forgiven us but we are not to allow abusive behavior on the behalf of another either. Jesus never tolerated it and never should we .

Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me with an abundance of You Divine love so that I will be blessed with wisdom and strength to exhibit Your grace unto others as You have exceedingly done for me. I humbly beseech Thee in the name of He who was amazingly patient, wise and loving unto His disciple Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.
