“ Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. “ Psalm 46:10 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I believe one of the greatest problems in western society today is business. We are so busy with our jobs , families and past times that there is no room for daily communion with Jehovah.

Spending daily time with Jehovah is the best stress reliever there is. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The consequence of this is broken families where there are strangers living in the same house or apartment. This expands into our neighbourhoods , cities, provinces and countries. How many folks know their neighbours ?

How many folks know anything about the souls living in a different part of their country ?

As well, you destroy your mental , spiritual and physical health when you are constantly busy.

I cherish the time spent every day with my Beloved. Many times He reveals His attributes to me that expands my love , admiration and respect for Him. An added benefit is that there is a peace and security that lasts all day from that morning commune with Him.

How can you love a stranger ?

If you spend no time with Jehovah then how can you know Him ? If you do not know Him then how can you love Him?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Pryyand- God is my friend for graceful kindness in spending time with me every day . It is the most cherished part of my day . I extol You in the name of my best friend Jesus Christ . Amen .

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. Sharing with my daughter:)

  2. Yes, it’s a big problem, people just concentrate too much on their business, making money, doing worldly things, relationships with mankind, rather than concentrating on the big issue in life which is God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit which help us attain heaven, that beautiful celestial kingdom. It just needs faith the size of a mustard seed to overcome all of that, and then mountains can be moved, or just getting out of bed a bit sooner can be accomplished. Amen.

    • Just as we make commitments in our earthly family so too must we make commitments in belonging to Jehovahs family. An important commitment is beginning our day with Him.
When folks concentrate on Heavenly desires rather than earthly desires there is a lot more contentment, peace, love and joy in their lives.

  3. Very well expressed. Sometimes we have to much TV news, cellphone messages and other distractions to being still and listening for God’s voice.

    Many thanks for this

  4. Enjoyed the post and heard the call to enter in.

  5. So true. I have heard it said that it is the gaps between the music that make the harmonies. The same is true of our lives. Too much busyness leads to chaos and discordance. The spaces make us sing.
