SHINING GENTLE CREEK IN THE FOREST

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 New International Version

Think of an apple sitting it on a table. You leave it there and eventually it goes rotten. Or, you eat it and then there is nothing left.

Now think of an apple tree. It starts out as a tiny seed. Eventually it will grow to produce fruit.

Now think of the apple as material wealth in your life. If you just store your wealth away without using it, it will go rotten and useless. To me that is the stock market. Or, you use it and then there is nothing left. Think of your expensive toys that wear out and are thrown out.

Now think of the apple seed as your beginning life as a Christian, your faith is very small. As the apple seed grows strong enough it will produce fruit. So too will it be with your faith. Your faith will grow stronger until it begins to produce fruit. The fruit is not just in your own personal life but in the lives of others as you serve Christ by serving them.

You serve Christ by serving others.Joseph- Anthony: Green

Which one is in your life?

My apple tree has been  producing plentiful fruit forty years . It has been very difficult at time but always rewarding both here and the riches they store up for me in Heaven.

How is your apple tree doing?

As a Christian you are not to accept Christ and then do nothing. You are to walk in faith and produce fruit. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Shaddai (God who is sufficient for the needs of His people) for the awesome fertilizing (reading and understanding of the Bible, listening to sermons and Christian fellowship), pruning (removing destructive habits from my life) and leading me to be a productive tree for Your divine orchard. Please continue to fertilize and prune me every day. I sincerely request this in the name of the Heavenly vine Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.
