A closer walk with our beloved friend.

Are You a Good Sheep Dog?

Again Jesus said “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”              Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” John 21:14 New International Version

Jesus Christ is our good Sheppard.

However, He needs good sheep dogs.

When you see a brother or sister going astray do you discreetly and with tact bring it to their attention?

Do you bring them back into the fold like a good sheep dog does for a Sheppard?

That does not mean to be a loud mouth and condemn them in front of everybody but maybe discuss the issue in private over a cup of coffee.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your pastor is a sheep dog, so when he gives a sermon that cuts to your heart you are to bless him not curse him. It is because of his sermon that God is speaking to you.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Rohi  (God is our Sheppard) please instill in this loyal sheepdog a wise, graceful and meek heart to guide any of Your straying sheep back to Your flock. As well please instill in me an appreciative heart for the pastor You have blessed me with to be Your sheepdog for me. I sincerely request this in the name of our greatest Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.
