And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:32 King James Version
Are you possessed?
If you are a Christian you are.
Read the second part of this verse. Jehovah has given the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him.
Sorry, that excludes the “Sunday Christian” (the ones that are Christians during Sunday service), the lip service Christians (those who talk the talk but refuse to walk the walk), the good time Christians (those who are Christians during the good times but run like a rabbit during the trials and tribulations) and the prosperity Christians (those who believe Jehovah is a genie in a bottle made to serve them and give them everything they want).
The Holy Spirit is reserved for those of us who are the down and dirty Christians. We are the ones serving our King. Because we depend upon Him for knowledge how to best serve Him in our daily lives we are blessed with the best guidance councilor (the Holy Spirit).
Because we suffer trials and tribulations for our beloved King we are blessed with the best comforter, healer and encourager (the Holy Spirit) because they are at times too great for us to bear on our own.
Because we are the ones in the thick of the constant battle with the evil one and his minions we are blessed with the best strategist to defeat them (the Holy Spirit).
Because we sometimes suffer in such intense anguish we do not know how to put our suffering into words the Holy Spirit speaks unto our Heavenly Father on our behalf.
Because there are times in our service unto our Heavenly King that we are completely drained He blesses us with the strength to carry on.
So Christian if (and it has happened a few times in my walk) someone dares to say you are crazy and possessed just smile and say like I do: “Thank you. Your very own words confirm the truth.”
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel (God is with us) for blessing me with the Holy Spirit to always be with me and to help me in so very many wonderful ways. I extol You in the name of He whose precious blood made this all possible Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
