The three sins we all have.
They are pride.
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 New King James Version
Why did Eve eat the apple, she wanted to be as wise as God.
How much pride it there in your life where you are trying to put yourself above Jehovah? Do you believe your intelligence comes from your own effort or is it a blessing from God? Is your ability to work on machinery or on the internet you own skill or is it a blessing from Jehovah? How much do you thank Him for it?
The next is stubbornness.
And may not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God. Psalm 78:8 New King James Version
When Jesus was walking through the garden, Adam, instead of being humble and admitting his sin he stubbornly blamed Eve as she stubbornly blamed the serpent.
Finally there is anger.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret it only causes harm. Psalm 37:8 New King James Version
I believe the way Adam and Eve answered God was in anger.
How many times do you become angry when confronted with something you have done wrong to somebody and instead of humbly apologizing we become angry?
I have seen people refuse to admit what they did was wrong and they get angry over it and that anger lasted decades.
In the end it only causes mental and physical ailments.
The only way we will defeat this is through Christ, by submitting it completely to His power to destroy it.
And when He blesses us the wisdom, meekness (which means keeping your temper under control) and grace to humbly apologize we will not only experience healed relationships but improved mental and physical health
Prayer: Please Jehovah ElHeenu (the Lord is our God) bless me with a complete and total submissive heart, mind and body to Your will in all aspects of my life. I humbly beseech You in the name of Your most obedient son Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
