One Lord, one faith, one baptism. Ephesians 4:5 New King James Version
We only need to be baptized once but we need to be daily filled with the Holy Spirit. When we are baptized we have the Holy Spirit dwelling with in us.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4 New King James Version
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel. Acts 4:8 New King James Version
Do you see here Peter needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit to preach at different times?
I believe we are baptized into Jehovah’s family with the Holy Spirit when we become baptized but that the Holy Spirit guides us on what to say and do in our daily lives and in specific times and places.
When I was baptized I definitely felt the Holy Spirit enter into my soul. But there were many times I needed Him to guide me on what to say in delicate situations. It stunned many who knew me because they were shocked that I was able to speak so boldly (they knew me as shy and quiet) with such wisdom (I was not very knowledgeable at times about the topic being discussed) and eloquence (I was a country hick).
You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. Matthew 10:18-20 New King James Version
It is the same with my writing.
Many times a Bible verse will jump out at me and I begin writing with out thinking what is being written. I never have to think of what to write next as the words flows like a gentle stream onto the page. Sometimes I am shocked at what is written and read it with great interest as if reading it for the first time. Yes after reading the article I put my own limited insight into the article but I firmly believe the article was guided by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for the amazing blessing of the daily filling of the wisest teacher and guidance councilor there every was, is or can be in the Holy Spirit. I exalt You in the name of He whose ultimate sacrifice made it all possible Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
