A closer walk with our beloved friend.

In Due Time.

Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. 1 Peter 5:6 New King James Version

Humble: not proud : not thinking of yourself as better than other people Merriam- Webster Dictionary

I believe this is regard to Jehovahs leading in our lives.

We are not to be stubborn and proud towards Jehovah.

So if you are say a doctor and you want to work in a prestigious hospital but He wants you to live in poverty working in a impoverished place you are not to be proud and say “I will not work with those filth. I deserve to work with the best because I am one of the best.”

If you have a gift of teaching and have an offer to teach at one of the most prestigious schools in the country but Jehovah wants you to teach in a mud thatched school in the middle of no where you are to be obedient unto Him.

You may not receive any accolades here, indeed you will probably receive a lot of scorn and ridicule, especially from family and friends but you definitely will receive your eternal rewards in Heaven.

I know when I obeyed my calling most people laughed at me and mocked me, most still do.

That is okay.

Because I love my Beloved in Heaven I desire to please Him and know my just reward awaits me at His time. That is good enough for me.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh for blessing me with the many gifts You have provided for me to humbly serve my Deepest love to bring the little lost sheep into His Divine Kingdom. Although You have promised and I believe You will shower me with eternal Heavenly blessing just obeying the One I so deeply love is reward enough for me. I extol You in the name of Your greatest gift to me Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day .

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. God is opposed to the proud. It is a struggle against our prideful and arrogant sin nature, but if we humble ourselves He will lift us up.

  2. Thumbs up!
