He Did Not.

Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.”  Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Will the Christ come out of Galilee?  Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”  So there was a division among the people because of Him. John 7:40-43 New King James Version

When Jesus was teaching he told the people the people the truth.

Some people believed Him and some people did not.

He did not take offence when they refused to accept Him.

So if Jesus did not become all tied up in a knot and try to force others to listen to Him why should we?

The others who were open to listening and obeying Him He gave time to digest what He was teaching them.

So too should we.

When we present the message in its simplest form we should allow those who are open to listening time to absorb what we are saying. After all, can you eat a big pizza in one bite or does it take many little bites?

Prayer: Please Jesus Rabbi, God our teacher, enhance my teaching style to be more in tune with Your wise method of tutoring those You have blessed me with to be their teacher. I sincerely request this in Your creative name. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. A good message and reminder. People are sometimes slow to change, especially on big matter such as their belief systems. Steve

  2. “…With gentleness and reverence.”
