A closer walk with our beloved friend.

It Is a Never Ending Circle.

In the entire Book of Judges after Joshua died the Israelites went on to worship the idols of the people they did not conquer. As a consequence Jehovah sent a lot of tribulation to them. When they repented He took the persecution away. Once the Lord blessed them, then like dumbo’s, they went right back to idol worshipping.

Are we not guilty of the same goof ups?

We get comfortable in the Lords blessings and start worshipping the blessing instead of Jehovah?

Let us say you are blessed with a contract where you can live a comfortable life, do you start to worship the things this comfortable life brings you like your house or car more instead of Jehovah?

Do you consider it more important to wash the car than spending time in Bible Study?

Do you spend more time taking care of your house than in taking care of the disadvantaged in society?

Is it any wonder that Jehovah takes His blessings away from you?

You repent and Jehovah send His blessings to you and again you turn from Him.

You need not look into ancient history.

Just look at the times before the great depression and then the great depression.

Look at every time before we have had a reccetion and see how much we had abundance.

There is a saying: “When times are hard, the churches are full. When times are good the churches are empty.”

Is it not better to live in gratitude for Christ in both the sunshine and the rain?

Prayer: Jesus Pryyand (Jesus my friend) I love to spend time with You when the times are good and appreciate even more the times You are with me when the times are bad. I sing hallelujah with a joyous gratitude filled heart in Your beautiful name. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. This is so true. We pray for relief and comfort, then once we receive it from God, we forget to even thank Him for it, let alone pray more thankfully to Him in the future! We need to understand our blessings are more likely to continue when we continue to be mindful of them and pray thanks to the Lord for them each day!

    • I have found that when I include prayers of gratitude in my morning prayers it helps start the day off in a positive way and helps me be more grateful towards our Beloved and conscious of avoiding, if possible, situations which would wound His perfect heart.

      • Very well said! A positive word to the Lord in the morning has to help with our attitude each day, even if we feel down a bit, we may be lifted up in prayer!

      • I do not need coffee in my cup to start the day, I need Jesus in my heart.

      • Well, I’m certain that Jesus can do much more for us than a cup of coffee! Thanks for the reply my friend…

      • I do not know if you have that commercial where you life but there is a commercial that jingles the best way to start your day is with ___ in your cup.
