Why the Bible Thumpers Are Wrong.

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 New International Version

I have seen and experienced many good intentioned but wrong minded Christians who try to shove their version of the Bible down people’s throats. As a result they do more to drive unbelievers away from Christ than guide them to Christ. Consequently you are serving Satan rather than serving Christ.

I know because that is exactly what happened to me with that Satanic cult Jehovah’s Witnesses and with some people who were recovered alcoholics and drug addicts that became born again Christians. Because of their in your face method they drove me away from reading the Bible, praying or having anything to do with Christianity for many years.

The way that I find to be most productive is to begin with living the Christian life. Then pray that Jehovah arranges for you to encounter someone who is open to receiving Christ’s message.

When they see how you live they will be curious and inquire about why you live a different lifestyle. That is the best opportunity to share the message.

Now of course this includes studying your Bible and carrying it with you every day so that you are prepared.

Prayer: Please Jehovah KalEl (voice of God ) teach me when and how to use the correct opportunities to share You with those who are ready to hear Your Word.

I sincerely ask this in the name of He who waited thirty years before beginning His ministry Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. I agree, for me I’ve always found this the best method to share my faith particularly with those strongly adverse to Christian teaching. Thanks for sharing.

    • Most who are strongly adverse to Christianity are so because of the the self righteous who are too quick to condemn others while excusing their own sin

  2. We have been given a mission,
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” ~Mark 16:15.

I think Francis of Assisi may have offered the best approach:
“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words”.

  3. Not many “Bible Thumpers” around. Can’t see how they can be blamed for much. My four year old granddaughter sort of taught me a lesson about the “Bible Thumpers.” I’ve been cautious in my criticism since then. i might get around to that story some day. If so, may I link back to this blog? I also spent several years in ministry to nursing homes. Slow and easy and don’t offend was my motto, but I’m not sure I accomplished much.

    • If it is appropriate, yes of course you can link back.

I have personally met many Bible thumpers that drove me away from Christ and the church.

I do volunteer work in a nursing home and have found patience and love usually is the best way to go and nit to be offended. The reason it is not always is because of those with Alzheimer Disease do not always respond but that is taken into account.

I am sure you accomplished much more than you realize.

  4. Thanks, ropheka, you remind me to remember that we sow and God gives the increase. We do not control the time of growth. Blessings. My story is not offensive. I’ll get to it.
