Hurry Up and Die.

SINFUL DESIRE

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control,  brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:2-5 New King James Version

One day in the supermarket line up the headline in a national magazine caught my eyes. It read:” Hurry Up and Die.”

The jist of the article is that many people that went through the great depression of the nineteen thirties scrunched and saved their money.

Their foolish materialistic children have gone in debt way over their heads. The children are not concerned because they believe the money they will get from their parents inheritance will pay their debts.

A consequence of this is many of the elderly are abuse by their children and grand children. They cheat their parents out of money, throw them into a seniors home and only come around when they want money. I have seen and witnessed this pathetic scenario too many times.

As I was reading the article 2 Timothy 3:2-5 flashed into my mind and pretty much every word there describes these low life’s I have met.

Now mind you, there are a lot of abusive parents that are unrepentant towards their now adult children so I believe they are getting their just due (although that does not excuse the children any more than the Pharisees were excused for nailing Christ to the cross).

Prayer: Please Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) whisper in the ears of the ingrates that the commandment after loving you is loving our parents. Abusing parents is hideous to You. As well my Beloved whisper in the ear of the parents whose children lovingly respectfully care for them to not be so difficult towards them but to be appreciative of them. I humbly ask this in the name of Your most loving and respectful son Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” (1 Tim. 5:8)

Yes, to covet the things of possessions and money belonging to family members, and to plot to take some or all of it without their permission is to violate the lesson in the passage above. We are to look after our loved ones, children on up to senior family members, and provide for them.

This can be by way of our own means, or it can come by helping to manage what they have to their benefit. The love of money is the root to all evil…and Satan uses it to tempt us in so many ways.

    A good post!

    • I agree but I see so many that the only time they want anything to do with you is when they want something from you. When you need help they are strangers who do not know you.

      • And so it goes with the “worldly minded.” They have no understanding of Godly love nor of His precepts for living.

One day they will. For their sakes, it better be on this side of eternity…

      • Sad to say most will find out too late
