The Lord sets prisoners free. Psalm 146:7 New International Version
One day I took some cigarettes to a stream. I got down on my knees and repeated: “Jesus has set me free, therefore I am free.”
As I did so each cigarette was broken and thrown into the stream.
Whenever the temptation for a smoke came I would close my eyes, repeat that mantra and imagine Jesus smashing a chain of cigarettes that was like handcuffs to me.
I went through dizzy spells, tiredness and shortness of breath when in withdrawal.
I have to wonder: What is in those cigarettes anyway? If there are addictive toxins in there and the government knows about it, does that make the government legalized drug dealers?
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 New King James Version
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ropheka (God our healer) for finally after fifty years, smashing the chains of the destructive poison that had me so tightly in its deadly grip. I praise You in the name of He whose death set so many prisoners free Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
