A closer walk with our beloved friend.

Returns to His Own Vomit.

As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly. Proverbs 26:11 New King James Version

Folly: a foolish act, practice or idea, a costly and foolish undertaking

Just as Christ does not force anyone to live righteously neither are we to attempt to force others to do what is right and to not do what is wrong. If they insist upon living a fools folly, they will pay the price not you. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Growing up on a farm we had the occasion to see dogs vomiting and then eating their vomit and then vomiting again. It always baffled me.

So too it is with stupid, stubborn people.  I have met people who insist upon repeating the same foolish behavior time and time again. No it is not mistakes. Mistakes is when you do something you do not know what you are doing.

The wise man learns, the fool goes back and repeats the same stupid acts.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

You try to talk with them and explain it but they arrogantly refuse to listen. Their motto is: I know, I know.” When in fact they know nothing of what they are doing.

The only thing you can do is step back and let them suffer for their arrogance and stupidity. This is very hard when it is someone you love like someone in your family.

Most time from my experience when they pay the price for their stupidity they try to blame someone else instead of admitting it was their own fault.

Stupid and stubborn go together like peanut butter and jam. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Please Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) bless me with the ability to break through to the stiff necked people and help them see the error of their ways to help them improve their lives. I meekly request this in the name of He who broke through His stiff necked disciples Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day.

I am an unpaid live in care giver for my aged mother. As well I regularly do volunteer work with a local church group helping working poor establish themselves independently. . I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. “No it is not mistakes. Mistakes is when you do something you do not know what you are doing.”

Very good point. I loved this post. It serves as a very stern reminder to myself to stay on the right track this time.

    • Thank you precious one.

Too many times we fall back into the same fallen way. Like the saying goes:Though a reightous man fall seven times, eight times he will rise.
We must never give in or give up

  2. This is an unfortunate truth. Satan looks for opportunities to trip us up ALL THE TIME! We may fall to sin. But hopefully as we grow in Christian maturity, we will WANT to sin less often. And certainly, we should be able to apply the lesson of “oh no, been there, done that before!”

What’s more, if we desire to continue in sin, we no longer have the Sacrifice for sins, and do not walk in the Light of the Lord. And this is only made worse when it comes to repeating the same sins. We will fall to our enticements at times. But hopefully less so, and certainly with repeat offenses, as our walk with the Lord takes on more meaning to us…

    • That is very true and insightful

Thank you for a wise comment.

I have found him to be very subtle but thankfully the Holy Spirit helps me to wise up. Then it is up to me to take the proper action

      • So true…”the One who is within you is greater than the one who is in the world…”

However, we must learn to trust and employ the Holy Spirit in order to defeat Satan’s advances…

      • It is a prosses we must employ every day until we reach Heavens gates.

      • So well said! The battle is life-long, and must be fought until we have reach our “heavenly home!”

      • That is so very true. We can never let our guard down or be\. That is the quickest way o disaster.

  3. “As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.” Proverbs 26:11

The mark of a truly saved individual is that we will seek to flee foolishness and seek to serve our Lord in holiness and love. When we see those who are consistently running after foolishness, it is a sign that they have never come to a life changing salvation experience in Christ.

Why does the dog return to his vomit? Because he is a dog, his true nature never changed. Why does a fool repeat his folly? Because he is still a fool, his nature has never been saved and given new life in Christ!

    Great posting! Lord bless.
