WE MUST LET GO

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 New King James Version

We must go on Jehovahs time not our own.

The quickest way to disaster is to go on my time and not Gods. Joseph- Anthony: Green

When I first became a Christian I wanted to go out and share the message with everyone, even though I was not mature enough to do it. As a consequence I failed miserably.

It took my King another eight years of preparing me before He assigned to me the task he had prepared for me to do in service unto Him. Then when I did receive His commission I did not want to go.

It is the same in every aspect of life. We must wait for His timing not our own.

This applies to waiting for marriages (think of how many divorces there are because folks got married before they were mature enough or until the right mate came along).

The same could be said for having children. How much less child abuse would there be if unsuitable parents never had children or waited until they were mature enough to handle being a parent?

You name it and we must wait for the appropriate season in our lives whether it be a career or service unto our Master.

Following the Masters leading detours us around a lot of pit falls. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Please Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) bless me with patience and strength to wait upon You time in Your way to provide for me the blessings You desire. I humbly pray in the name of He who waited centuries before He provided salvation for us on the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. The discipline of waiting is one learned through the error of impatience. – Jennifer 😉

What you say about waiting is so true – we’re such curious beings. We hate waiting, we’re impatient about everything, we want what we want NOW, we’re irritated and try to manipulate things when it “doesn’t happen fast enough.”

One thing I find helps me wait better is resting in His sovereignty. In any situation – whether it’s a store line or a big life situation. I pray, God, I feel impatient, but I know you are sovereign over the very moments of my life, you have me here right now, I’m looking at you, not my circumstances.

Work in progress. 🙂 Thanks for the post, J.

  2. I’m sure your required level of patience is higher than mine then!!!!!!! *hug* I have a 17 year old blind Yorkie who is totally dependent on me for all things (food, water, potty, location lol). But the demands of your mom must be invariably greater. Praying you have His surpassing strength, J!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. God sent another confirmation of this same message today so I’m treading very carefully now.

  4. I believe too that there is a time for everything ropheka and yes it is God’s timing and equipping we seek, it’s not our own ability that we need to succeed, in what ever we do for the Lord, it is the Holy Spirit’s empowering, as Jesus lives His life within us that insures we will succeed

I remember as a new Christian feeling inadequate witnessing to my Neighbor, when I shared this with my Pastor, he said; God will use what you have and give you whatever you need and so I continued to share about my new faith in the Lord but I knew I was not alone doing so, although it was many years later after many ups and downs before I knew all of God’s Truth that was needed for Victorious living.

My Neighbor who is now a close friend became a Christian within a few months of my sharing with her and her husband repented and was baptized 3 years after, they are mature Christians today over 33 years later and continue to serve the Lord, this is God working in their lives not my efforts.

Without the Holy Spirit empowering them the Disciples were weak and fearful after Jesus was Crucified but after Pentecost they became powerful in The Spirit, witnessing world wide and showing His anointing in word and deed.

It’s not how many years we have lived that makes a difference but who lives in us through those years, equipping and empowering us.

Colossians 1:27-29 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily(KJV)

Galatians 2: 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who Loved me, and gave Himself for me.(KJV)

Ephesians 3:16-18 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in Love, May be able to comprehend with all Saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;(KJV)

Galatians 3:26-28 For ye are all the Children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.(KJV)

2 Corinthians 13:4-6 For though He was crucified through weakness, yet He liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him, by the power of God toward you. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.(KJV)

2 Corinthians 5:16-18 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation(KJV)

1 Corinthians 1:29-31That no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:That, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.(KJV)
