Why Would He?

REPENT OR ELSE

If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. Psalm 66:18 New International Version

There was a man with two sons.

One son was obedient and loving with his father. As a consequence the father loved to show his affection and appreciation by showering the son with gifts.

The other son was arrogant, rude and unappreciative of the father. As a result the father gave that son nothing.

The first son is a Christian, the second worldly.

If you cherish the sinful life you are arrogant rude and disobedient to the Father. When you are like that and need His help why should He listen to you when you reject Him?

Prayer: I thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Father) for blessing me with an amazing loving relationship with you. Because of this I know You will always listen to this, Your loving child that You love so much. I praise you in the name of Your most holy son Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.

  1. When our deeds are for the praises of man, then we have our reward…we have received our reward in full. It is only when deeds are compelled by faith and for the praise of our Lord that we have spiritual reward.

    Good post!

    • Even then they do not always have their reward because there are some who it is never good enough for compared to Jehovah who is always pleased.

Thank you for your wise insight

      • This is very true. Anyway, I would take one smile from God over countless praises from man any day!

And thank you for the compliment, but any wisdom I have is a direct result of God’s will for me.

May your knowledge and interest in the things of God always benefit you and all you come in contact with!

  2. Thank you, Ropheka, for this reminder. I am at this time reviewing this continual thought of relationship to our heavenly Father by reading again John Owen’s Communion with God. If all His children knew this fellowship nothing would be sweeter or more rewarding. Just HIs love and fellowship are heaven and gifts enough.
