DEVINE GUIDANCE

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. John 14:6 New King James Version

Jesus makes no bones about it. It is His way to Heaven or your way to Hell.

You cannot have one foot in the world and one in Jesus’ way.

There is no compromise.

This means He does not accept UnChristlike behaviour.

There is no “truth is relevant” in His way.

So if you are living like this:   People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,  treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—  having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:2-5 New International Version and believe you are walking this Christian walk you are sadly and dangerously mistaken.

Now Jesus will always supply us with the means to follow the path He has chosen for us.

“God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill all His promises . . . leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Prayer: Please Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) guide this sheep of Yours on His daily walk with You on my journey home. I humbly request this in the name of He who is the best Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day.

As Christ is our King, so too are we His free will servants Joseph a son of Jehovah I have been a faithful servant of our Lord for the past forty years. He has led me to move from the farm to the city. It was there I learned natural medicine as well as to serve by doin volunteer work in a hospital. This was preparing me for the next stage of growth and service unto Him. The next phase was to live in a tent in the western provinces of Canada planting trees. It has here in His marvelous creation of nature that He taught me so much of Himself while serving others in camp as a first aid attendant. If anybody got sick or injured they always came to me. As well, I learned to be a big brother and care about their mental health and for most, it was the first time they were ever loved. This caring for others prepared me for the next step which was to be a teacher all over China. Here not only did my example guide many to our Heavenly King but also taught me how to deal with narcissist. This prepared me to come home to take care of a narcissistic mother while dealing with narcissist family members. It was in China that the Lord also guided me to become a Christian writer which has been faithfully done for the past ten years. I know not what will happen tomorrow but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands and it is Him I place my total confidence and trust in. Joseph a son of Jehovah

  1. Complete devotion in love to the Lord is required…period! People can “dance around” and try to find a way to please God but still live for themselves. It just won’t work if that is in their hearts.

God does not want us to be unhappy, nor unfulfilled in this life. We can go after dreams of better things in life. It’s just that the things of the Lord must come first, and that decision on our part must be made sincerely from the love we have for our very special Lord!

If we abide in Him truly, this devotion will come to us more easily over time.

    The True Light

    • Unfortunatly I have seen too many “Sunday Christians”.

I agree very strongly with your comments.

      • We see 100-200 or more people at church on Sundays. But how many are really there…in spirit and truth? Only God knows the heart.

        The True Light

      • That is true but by our behaviour we can descern many. There was over two hundred in the one church I used to attend and I would estimate there was only four Christians. Allister Begg said there are four types that coe to church: one is the woves or Pharasees if you like. Two is the ones that are there to socilaize with friends. Three, they do not even know why they are there. And then there is the minority, those are the Christians. From my experiance I would agree.

      • Sadly, I have probably attended a service of 300-400 people where there were no more actual spirit-loving, worshiping Christians than in other crowds of half that many!

The reason for attending corporate worship is to build up one another in the faith and to praise God in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.

We pray with united minds and purpose, we hear messages from the word of God, and we remember Jesus in Holy Communion.

Unless our hearts are in this condition, we are “taking up space.”

        The True Light

      • That is so very true but I enjoyed the fellowship of the true Christians.

      • That is as it should be. The fellowship of like-minded Christians is such an important part of God’s desire and plan for us. We need to help one another, and bear each others burdens. We also share our joys together…

I’m so glad you made this very important remark!
