Is He an Egotistic?

“You shall have no other gods before Me. Exodus 20:3 New King James Version

A pair of red roses dancing in sunlight

Is God and egotistic when He says we are to worship no other Gods but Him?

Think of sports fans. Alls they talk about is their team. When their team loses or when the season is over they are devastated and they are like zombies. That team or their favorite player is their God.

It is the same thing with TV stars and music stars. Have you ever seen how much their personal lives are messed up?

So in’t God saying He wants such a deep intimate love affair with us that we cannot help but talk about Him with others? In doing so we can help bring others into His beautiful family? With such an intimate love affair is there not love, joy and peace?

When we worship anything but God are we not in for a big disappointment and hurt? Because He loves us is it not logical that He only wants what is best for us?

I personally do not consider Him to be an egotistic but rather the most fantastic loving Father we could ever be blessed with.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel (God amongst us) for being such a loving, generous, and gracious Father. Thank you for the blessing of adopting me into the most special family of all. I sing praises unto You my love in the name of my beloved big brother Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

After faithfully serving the Lord in China for ten years as a teacher I have been called home to care for my aged mother who has numerous disabilities. As well I regularly do volunteer work visiting seniors in a seniors home. I love being in nature. I say the closer we get to nature the more we see Jehovah. We are blessed in this area with many amazing, easy to ride bicycle trails on old railroad lines that takes us all over Southern Ontario.
